Believe it or not it was mostly my grandfather's private island.

things got weird there and that's a really long story.

i'm just glad that we haven't run into anyone who wants to do something crazy like take this place over or just murder everyone. although my sample size of weird is probably small, so that probably doesn't happen everywhere.

no, he was just stupidly rich. and not a lot of people cared about the island so he basically just bought it a long time ago. and it was weird like... a lot of stuff happened.

i might have actually died.

and there was magic involved. it's a really long story so telling it over a drink sounds great. i think i'm technically like a year too young to start drinking but uh we're not in japan anymore, so who really cares?
